Lighted Mannequins
C. Rawlings

Items such as lingerie, swimwear, and other "delicates" are often displayed on lighted torsos to add dimension and appeal. They are also often used at trade shows, as they are easier to transport than full mannequins. The plastic shell is nearly indestructible, although the lights inside take some extra care.

Novelty mannequins can be useful, but choose their uses carefully. If too many lighted torsos are used, they all tend to lose their effectiveness. Use them sparingly, as focal points and for your most expensive items, or for fabrics with subtle patterns.

There are even inflatable lighted torsos, great for trade show displays. Illuminated from the inside, these display forms add a dimension that other manikins cannot.
