Beyond the cheesy blow-ups, there are now more tailored torsos and even entire inflatable bodies that can be filled by mouth or pump, deflated and stored in a half-gallon bag (at about a pound each). These forms are perfect for traveling clothing sales. They are shaped more like real people than the gag blow-up party dolls. Also usually in neutral, solid colors, they do not detract from the clothing they display.
Trade shows obviously benefit from inflatable manequins, but moulage and other mass casualty exercises also find them helpful as inexpensive "victims." Haunted houses use them to dress up as props. They are also great for vintage clothing, as they can be inflated while inside a garment, and made to the exact size needed.
